It's me Matt Conquer! I write this blog. I'm a husbanding, sports playing, video gaming, podcast creating, product person. I have a ton of interests and figured why not talk about them all!
My Story
Welcome!
A little more about me: I live in Toronto with my wife Laura, daughter Juniper and our dog Bruce. I've always enjoyed playing video games and then I started to get specifically interested in the business side of video games. It lead me to thinking more and more about the how and why video games are made.
It didn't lead me into product in video games but it did lead me towards product in general. Talking about what companies were trying to create and what value they missed or hit starts to get your mind moving towards the products in the company you work at.
I started this site because I wanted to talk about how different products live in the wild. I figured we could all use a place where we dig through the instant reactions and try to take a deeper look into what is going on when product decisions are made.
Outside of talking about products and video games, I play sports including fantasy sports, Magic the Gathering, read comics, watch movies and cook.
I also host, edit and publish the Popcorn and Plotholes podcast with 3 of my friends. We talk about streaming movies and ask the a bunch of questions about the movie that you didn't know you needed answers. It's all tongue and cheek comedy. Check it out when you need a break!
